Princess Royal Trust For Carers   - The Young Carers web area from one of the UK's national organisations for Carers.

 

The Children's Society - (Young Carers Initiative) is an organisation that is part of The Children's Society. They work to create a national focus for people that work to support young carers and their families across England and the UK.

 

Contact a Family - For families with disabled children, Every day over 75 children in the UK are born or diagnosed with a serious disability or rare syndrome and the vast majority of them are cared for at home. Contact a Family is the only UK charity providing support and advice to parents whatever the medical condition of their child.

 

CarersNet - All carers and professionals based in Surrey need to know, find out where to get support and keep up to date on the latest issues affecting carers.

 

Children's and Families Information Service Surrey cc - a comprehensive information service for both the public and professionals on the services available to children and families in Surrey.

 

Loughborough University Young Carers Research Group - The Young Carers Research Group, founded in 1992 by Professor Saul Becker, is a self-financing research unit

 

Partnership with Parents Surrey - In Surrey the PwP Service operates at arm's length from the LEA out of its office base at Furzefield Primary School in Merstham. The Service aims to ensure that parents are able to play an informed part in any decisions about the educational provision made to meet their son or daughter's special educational needs and to build partnerships between parents, the LEA and schools.

 

Surrey Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service - Surrey CAMHS is more than simply a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. Health, education, social and voluntary organisations contribute to the service to ensure it is multi-disciplinary and delivers excellent results to all its users.

 

Rethink - They are dedicated to improving the lives of everyone affected by severe mental illness, whether they have a condition themselves, care for others who do, or are professionals or volunteers working in the mental health field.

AMIIS - (Advocacy, Mediation Independent Investigation Service) for resolving complaints for social service users and carers:

East Surrey Domestic Violence Forum - The East Surrey Domestic Violence Forum Outreach Service is an independent, voluntary sector organisation. We are NOT the police, nor social services, but we can work closely with them when it is appropriate.
